The Red Hat Players and ATIA present Sheridan’s comic masterpiece, The School for Scandal

Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the School for Scandal!

If you have juicy gossip about your friends, you’re in the right place, and if you have no tattle to share, it will be our pleasure to provide you with some! And don’t be afraid, there is no chance, no, none at all, that one of us would say something about you, once your back is turned…

This modern dress adaptation of Sheridan’s  play, welcomes you to a viper’s nest of gossipers and slanderers living in the rich,  expatriate community around St Tropez.
The School for Scandal” was first performed in the Theatre Royal in Drury Lane, London in 1777, and has been enchanting audiences with its savage wit and comic prowess ever since. In this age of social media and fake news, Sheridan’s play demonstrates the timeless folly of an obsession with scandal and brings evergreen delight as it exposes the vanities of human nature.
